There’s a Dean Wormer’s chance in hell that Blandino is leaving voluntarily. No chance he bails on his own when he is about to become replay Tsar. Also, exactly which contracted network partner of the NFL is going to hire someone out of the NFL’s office without the NFL signing off on it in advance? Someone is going to screw up their deal with the league to get Dean Blandino? Please. The NFL wanted him gone and called in a favor at a network to find a safe landing spot for him where he will keep his mouth shut if he wants to get paid. The larger question is what are they covering up that caused them to force him out. If you think of all the things the NFL stooges do on a regular basis and have ignored (somewhat excluding Kensil who seems to be on a perpetual tour of future playing sites in outer Mongolia) it must be something really good for them to decide to cut ties with him.
Was there an adult in the room who said a guy spotted stumbling out of an owner’s party bus and was never a ref shouldn’t be the head of officiating?
Just kidding.
Come back, Regular Brian.
My agenda is truth.
April 14, 2017 at 11:25 am #97125April 14, 2017 at 11:32 am #97126I mean, regardless of what people think of Belichick, I thought it was universally agreed upon he doesn’t give a damn what anyone thinks, and is completely unwilling to be the dancing monkey the Fatty types ask him to be. He does nothing for show, and puts no thought into “the optics” of his decision-making. He carries a healthy contempt for “the optics” even.
If anything, this is him caving a little to one of the interview requests, revealing a little more of himself, and he gets skewered anyway. Why should he ever do one of these? The only way to “win” is to be a fake motherfucker like Dungy, always accessible, always at the ready with the conventional, safe response, and always willing to take the expedient route out of a jam.
April 14, 2017 at 11:33 am #97127April 14, 2017 at 11:38 am #97128I love wiki. Look up Kerr, read the 5 paragraphs going into detail about all his success as a coach and see this is how the section ends
On November 20, 2016, The NBA announced that Kerr had been fined $25,000 for public criticism of officiating during a radio interview with KNBR 680 on Thursday the 17th.[40]
April 14, 2017 at 11:46 am #97129I have a FB friend who is a huge Stillers fan. He posted some overly treacly nonsense, with other people offering him condolences . I had a “21 gun salute, all pointed at helicopters” post ready to go but scrapped it, figuring it would require too much explanation to the other people on the thread to be effective. Years ago, at a Memorial day party, he cornered me in the kitchen to talk about the Stillers backup right tackle in the coming season, as if I had any insight/interest. I was also on mushrooms, and halfway through his soliloquy about Jerome Bettis following a pulling guard I had a full on meltdown/tantrum. “I can’t be here!” etc. Embarrassing, but it worked
This is usually the place I say loudly “Man, I gotta take a massive SHIT!” and walk away. It works every single time.
April 14, 2017 at 11:48 am #97130April 14, 2017 at 11:52 am #97131I don’t even think Larry Johnson is allowed to do one scribble a week. His last masterpiece was last Friday…today…nothing. He must be devastated. 😆
It is Good Friday, perhaps he’s out doing carving stations of the cross?

April 14, 2017 at 12:20 pm #97135Keep giving me reasons to hate him Peter.
2006: There is a knock on the door of room 755 of the Renaissance Hotel in a Chicago suburb, on a hot day in August. Roger Goodell opens the door to see Rooney standing there. “Commissioner,” Rooney says, extending his arms into a hug. It had been Rooney who helped bridge the gap between Goodell backers and supporters of NFL lawyer Gregg Levy, and it is Rooney who informs the new commissioner of his appointment. Goodell will continue to have a weekly call with Rooney throughout his tenure.

That works on a few levels because it gives us more reason to hate Fatty himself (as if we need any).
This has come up before but he acts like the incredibly stupid jackass Goodell is Michael Corleone.

“All right. This one time I’ll let you ask me about my affairs..”

I make it a point to bring up RussWest’s triple double average daily.
April 14, 2017 at 12:52 pm #97143First they sacrifice kill Rooney, then they ship off Blandino. What will they do next to distract from Eli-gate?
Right?!
He and his Frankenstein brother are corrupt, entitled assholes but hey let’s let them be and make up shit about the GOAT.

Jesus died for our sins but I’m dying for another slice or two of the roast beef. BWAHAHA

April 14, 2017 at 1:32 pm #97147April 14, 2017 at 1:32 pm #97148😆 Replying to @SI_PeterKing someone named Ben Smith
How long can you drag out a story about an old man dying? It was pretty predictable, he was honored, you move on

😆
How did Sam Bradford’s MVP season turn out?
I bet that column (or columns?) he wrote about the trade are probably even more funny now than they were at the time. I forget what the quote was but one of the GM’s was losing sleep because PEOPLE”S LIVES were involved or some horseshit that Fatty guzzled down like a fried butter latte.

It’s on you to call him out! Bring me to a game, I’ll berate him for 4 straight hours

We’ve really, as a Board, gotten better about spotting tendencies.
