Schefter reporting Joe Judge to the Giants as HC.

Will Belichick ever forgive Judge for stealing his dream job?

More importantly, will New York be able to handle two prominent local sports figures with the same last name? Will the media go with “The New York Football Judge” when talking about the Giants coach?

Carolina: Baylor hardo (so much for Brady landing there now)

NY Giants: Joe Judge, a surprise

Looks like Cleveland is the only job on the board for McDaniels at the moment

Something about Rhule always bothered me. It’s not that he could comfortably fit a large pickle jar over his head and pretend he was a diver or space traveler. I think it’s wearing a pinnie on the sideline, like he came straight from intramurals to the stadium.

Baylor must be getting investigated again. Good Texas Christian school with a lot of scandal.

I tried to work through how PK & company came up with that number and there’s so much wrong there it’s difficult to believe it’s all just due to mistakes. It would be more believable if there was an attempt to be intentionally misleading, because the alternative is total incompetence. Just off the top, the Patriots only lost 5 games total and only played 9 games after Halloween.

Losing the bye must count as two losses in Fatty’s addled brain.

Odd, nothing on Boston.com about this. Weird, huh?

I think it was 60 Minutes Sports on Showtime that did a segment on that place in the wake of all the scandals and the Board of Regents are a bunch of lunatics.  Watch 5 minutes of Chip and Joanna and the alumni are even crazier.  All glory be to God.  Now go rape and win some football games.

Rhule wearing a pinnie is funny, plus he reminds me of Matt Millen.  And both were linebackers at Penn State.  7 year contract is pretty long.

Something on Boston Globe’s official website written by Alex Speier.  Cora appears to be in very hot water.

Updated the spreadsheet I did for accumulated CarAV with 2019 stats. Turned it into a game on Patsfans.

Pats still #2 overall, Seattle still #1. Gap closed slightly.

Here’s a link to the spreadsheet with the compiled info:

So they actually do suck at drafting WR

Objectively, yes. The few times they do so.

Funny seeing Cincinnati at #4 total overall points.  The one that ‘feels’ weird is seeing the Patriots ranked #9 overall drafting corners, although I guess that might include McCourty as he was drafted as a corner and maybe Butler as a UDFA.  Cyrus Jones for example doesn’t help, can’t remember if Dowling was a corner as well.

Hmm…  I have to change the formula as some guys are listed as CB, some are S, and some are DB. The DBs are getting lost.  I’ll have to make one DB category.

Cincy actually drafted a lot of good players early in the decade in Geno Atkins, AJ Green, Dunlap, Kevin Zeitler, and Andy Dalton. Also, they’re placement is more quantity of picks than quality of picks. They haven’t drafted well recently so they should sink as time goes on.

Cleveland is hilarious to me. They’ve had 15 first round picks which is 4 more than anyone else. But they’re score less per pick than New England’s much maligned 2nd round picks. From most AV to least, we have:

Haden, Shelton, Mingo (!), Myles Garret, Mayfield, Cameron Erving (C), Phil Taylor (DT), Trent Richardson, Jabril Peppers, Brandon Weeden, Denzel Ward, David Njoku, Corey Coleman, Johnny Manziel, and Justin Gilbert.  5 absolute busts (Gilbert, Manziel, Coleman, Weeden, Trent Richardson), 6 Disappointments when considering when they were drafted (Njoku, Mingo, Shelton, Erving, Peppers, Taylor), 3 Good to Great picks (Ward, Haden, Garrett).  Jury is out on Mayfield, of course.

Ok, redid the defensive backs column. The Pats have drafted the 9th most value in defensive backs combined.

Hope he’s got the split tennis balls on the 2 front legs to make it really authentic looking.

I imagine if things were status quo he would have been at the Golden Globes the other night sans walker and grabbing every ass he could get his hands on.

Remember how Parcells would give an answer at a presser and say something like, “All right?  Okay?” at the end? Ordway played those sound bites a lot back in the Border War days.

Well, at his intro presser this morning in NY, Joe Judge did the same thing. Those tough-as-nails NY writers must be swooning, thinking that means he’s another Parcells. Except I remember at least one, and maybe a couple, of my PE teachers doing the same thing when I was a kid. Must be a gym teacher kind of thing.

Judging by the Joe and Evan podcast excerpts, Judge made a very good impression with his opening presser. A far cry from the Gase one.

Anyone have a clue what he’s talking about here?

Josh McDaniels boarded a plane this morning for Cleveland. That he even got on it … is a bit of an upset. Will have more on this shortly.

sub the 76ers for Purdue.  Jaylen wins player of the week and immediately goes back to his loose dribble bullshit.

Swipe at Josh for leaving Indy at the altar last time.

You have to get them on the plane before you can get them in the room.
