Speaking of SI sounds like they are now moving to a monthly for the printed version.  Heading down the path of ESPN The Magazine.

The fact that this man (using that term very loosely) is still looking for work astounds me

“It’s hard to even find a comparable possible allegation…”  What in the fucking fuck is a ‘possible allegation?’  Whatever it is, I can make up all kinds of stuff.  And for the love of God, a guy from the Cardinals went to fucking prison for corporate espionage.  I don’t even have to come up with a made up allegation, that actually happened.

If you’re giving an elevator pitch wearing what I’m guessing is a concert t-shirt and a backward baseball hat it’s not an elevator pitch.

Don’t usually bring politics into the daily thread, but, the return of this guy!

The Browns are incredibly undisciplined. It would be really hard to be a fan of this team. That said, go Browns!

This 14-0 Browns lead is surely doomed.

Not that it excuses anything, but that was another example of Tomlin playing his hurry up offense at the end of a game his team has no chance of winning. Starting from their 11 yard line, the Steelers ran 6 straight pass plays (3 completions where the receiver ran oob, followed by 2 sacks, then another completion on the play when the fight started where the receiver went oob again. They could have run it 3 times and went home. If Belichick did this regularly, it would be portrayed as pettiness and poor sportsmanship.

    1. It’s an unfortunate incident that you obviously don’t like to see.

    2. Garrett deserves to be punished, and will be.

    3. It’s not the most horrible and disgraceful thing you’ve ever seen, nor clearly on par with the Holocaust like you’re breathlessly implying.

    4. So shut the fuck up.

    What do we think?

Garrett suspended to the end of the season

    Pouncey two games.

Brown who shoved Rudolph to the ground two games

    Rudolph a small fine

Fine for every player who left the bench

Pouncey plays for the Steelers, sir.  He was simply trying to restore order and bring an end to this distasteful incident.  He may receive a bonus in his Christmas pay envelope, but certainly no “suspension,” as you put it.

While advocating for a harsh penalty, PK writes “particularly in these times, when the NFL is trying to clean up the game.” When isn’t the league trying to “clean up the game?” That phrase has probably appeared in a King column at least once a year for the past 30 years.

I think there is a scramble on among the media to see who can take the most indignant position and achieve the title of Fishwive of All Fishwives.

Seeing Good Samaritans like the Brothers Pouncey risk their lives to aid a defenseless violent crime victim restores my faith in humanity.

Exactly . 3rd and 29 to start that play. Hand it off and go home.
Then, to make it worse they didn’t just wind the clock after all the penalties were sorted out, which at that point all parties would have welcomed. In fact, both teams had to take a knee

3 games will become 1 game or ‘time served’ once the appeal is heard.

Known in Sicily as pescatrice di tutte le mogli di pesce.  Surprised I haven’t seen a Steelers honk claim that Rudolph wasn’t really trying to kick Garrett in the balls, but those (abominable) all-brown color rush uniforms confused him.

Have there been any surprises at the top of the NFL 100 countdowns? Best team? The 72 Dolphins. Best play? The Immaculate Reception. Best Character? Joe Namath. Best game? The Colts-Giants “greatest game ever played.” They could have done these shows for the league’s 75 anniversary and had the same winners.
