Just had a bear (No Mr. Dennis, the four legged kind) stop by and eat the pumpkins on our front porch. Procrastinating about cleaning up after Halloween paid off with some nice pictures.

A little Patriots porn. This is the snow game in 2009 against Jeff Fisher in which Brady, still recovering from his knee surgery of the year before, threw for six TDs and had only five incompletions. Two of those were drops and a third happened when a receiver was blasted by a Titans’ defender before he could get to the ball — no PI was called.

I am loving the LA media try and spin the ineffectiveness of Ball. He’s young. He will get better. Just needs the right guys around him. Already a million excuses. He might as well be Drew Bledsoe.

ITT, any thoughts on the game with Boston +7.5?

I wouldn’t touch it just because I can see them losing by 20 or winning outright and the media overreacting to the outcome of the former and downplaying the latter. I have no idea what is going to happen.

Mazz’s take yesterday was that the Celtics need to be blown out. It would be better for the team in the long run. Felger had the “I wouldn’t go that far, Tony” tone of voice to him.

    Come back, Regular Brian.

Only going to get worse as the player taken directly after him, by your historical rival, becomes a legend  Let’s add the #2 pick in next year’s draft to complete the curb stomping

I picture Tatum at the end of the year pulling the Shooter McGavin  What’s that now?  Lonzo Ball?  I didn’t see him play, I was too busy winning.  Oh and we have their pick next year?  That’s great.

Is Lonzo the one who cherry-picks in AAU games,  got arrested in China, or looks like Eddie Jimmy Olmos had a kid with Wanda Sykes? I get them confused

And if that blowout happens? Tomorrow 2-6, “I know I said it would help if they lost but not looking that bad. That was pathetic. I guess we can hold off on the Stevens coach of the year, Tatum rookie of the year and Kyrie for MVP. OOFF Mike, that was bad. Greenteamers stop telling me they can win the east. JUST STOP IT!”

That letter to Jones to shut the fuck up is so NFL.  They are bound and determined to destroy that league, guess they bank on enough morons to keep consuming the product.  I just hope Tom and Bill squeeze out another title or 3 before it hopefully all goes tits up.

Also great that Jerruh voted in May to allow the comp committee to go ahead and finalize the deal.  Just like bitching about Elliot’s 6 games being an overreach as a result of Rice – I don’t recall him saying anything about it 3 years ago.  All those owners are assholes.

Only time a blowout would help is if the team isn’t playing well. Team is playing well so it’s not a positive.

Their just setting up the storylines for tomorrow 2-6.

How many quality, starter level centers should a team have? I’m a homer, but I thought Karras looked competent when he was on the field. If he has to play, which is still unknown, I don’t think the offensive line will fall apart.

I can remember when Mangold was hurt for the Jets a couple of years ago, there was a panic in the NY media because he had been so durable and no one knew how his backup would perform. On the flip side, I forget the season, I can remember the Patriots using their 3rd string center and the offense functioning as usual. But, yeah, “not good/limited depth.”

My take is that Mazz should be blown out. This type of excrement wins ratings books?

    :weei:

Tried to listen to sports radio a couple of days ago around 10 a.m.  Fauria and Magician Beard would only talk about how Ordway was burning up sick time in lieu of vacation days. Zolak, newly back from Denver, wanted to talk about preparing to travel to Mexico City. I tuned out before Diabeetle made any comments about his experiences with Montezuma’s Revenge.

Asshole Giardi’s closing line in his story about the AFA practices and talking with the coach there about survival training that all cadets go through

Perhaps hearing it from someone else – Coach Calhoun – will keep the message fresh as the Patriots press on through the second half the season and what they hope will be a long postseason run as well.

Yeah, I’m sure they’re sick of Belichick’s voice or they need the message itself to be kept ‘fresh’.  Not enough reminders apparently.  Like all the they need a voice in the room to challenge Bill, he surrounds himself with yes men! bullshit.

Well, since his cuddlebunny Jimmy was traded, Giardi is probably having that not-so-fresh feeling.

I listened a bit yesterday when perillo was on. He talked about the show prep call earlier in the day. It’s so obvious they go over shit and then decide how to provoke conversation. At the same time, when they hear the reaction they eventually convince themselves their made up bullshit is  right.

They did call him out a bit, since he wants Stanton for the sexiness, and a windmill dunk= 450 foot home run, or something.  He’s just a dumb guy. Felger sucks, but he’s smart.  Mazz is a wind-up toy

Andy’s like Willy Brimley in Cocoon – “Unlimited depth, Multiple weaponz, everyone re-signs here, the coach pretends he’s interested in what we have to ask him and we never die.”
