I thought the ‘Smarf’ people were terrible, nothing compared to this ‘Time Lord’ bullshit referring to Robert Williams.

Haven’t looked to see how the NFL is defending that colossal fuck up last night on the blocked field goal.  Vikings should have had the ball 1st and 10 at the Seahawks 14 down 6-0 with around 5 minutes left.  Instead its Seahawks ball at the 30 something.  Good job.

    Not political

The Senate majority leader also warned lawmakers to expect to work between the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

I’m going to be brutally honest with Zim. His team isn’t making the playoffs.

Thought I heard “Tess” say he was told by the NY office that it’s considered a “judgment call” on the field.

I’ve seen a lot of Tannyhill can’t throw a 75 yard Hail Mary why was Gronk out there?! Miami could’ve still throw a Hail Mary short of the end zone and tried to tip it to a receiver.

I had Seattle -3 yesterday. What torture.  If the Saints don’t make the SB it has to be considered a huge failure, the rest of that conference is trash

I would assume so as another dumb review rule is you can’t review/look at penalties unless it’s too many men on the field.  But someone threw a flag, then they basically talked him out of it?  No, no, that’s not what you saw, this is what you saw…

At one point last night my 10 year old says “dad this game stinks can we watch the Nuggets instead?”  I was pissed, not because he wanted to change the game but because I forgot the Nuggets were on in the first place.

Also, that’s the standard unit they put out there in those situations.  The chances of you fucking up increase if you deviate from that standard.

I saw this on Deadspin today: MMA Writer Exposed as Child Pornography Collector

It was an MMA writer from Scotland, so no one you’ve probably heard of. A couple of notable items: The kiddie porn guy’s past was exposed by a twitter user because of an online argument. The pedophile was arguing against Greg Hardy getting to fight in the MMA because he didn’t believe Hardy deserved a second chance. It’s nice to see a lack of self awareness is global media phenomenon. Also, the penalty in Scotland for possessing and exchanging thousands of pictures and videos of that type for a decade? 3 years community service and probation, 6 months of evening house arrest and some authority will be monitoring his internet activity for a decade.

My main point in bringing this up is that it ties into the Loyko/Bedard situation. The kiddie porn guy was a freelancer and both his employer and the Deadspin writer state that companies just don’t do background checks on freelancers. Coach Craig had his defense in front of him from day one, when he said Loyko was only a freelancer at BSJ, and he still doesn’t know it. 2 months later and he’s trying to figure out if there’s an official twitter account that he can DM so he can get to the bottom of his “investigation.”

As always Belichick knows way more than I do but I definitely had a tickle in the back of my brain when I heard Gronk was out there hoping he didn’t have to make a tackle.  Dolphins had a good play call against it and executed it perfectly mix in a little luck and shit happens.  Still SG had to miss two makeable kicks and Brady had to make probably the worst mental mistake I’ve seen him make this decade for them to lose the game.   I have no idea how the fanz get enjoyment from dishing out blame over this stuff.   If they win 45-3 the opposition was poor,  if they win close they had to resort to luck and gimics, if they lose a someone’s got to be accountable!  We’ve lived through 2 decades of watching Bill & Brady put the Patriots in the best possible position to win.  Sometimes shit like other teams and other great players and bad bounces and poor luck stop that from happening.

All year heard how the Vikings OC was the ‘hot coordinator, not sure if he was the same guy that Brutally Honest Zim blocked from going to the Giants.  Anyway, any team that wants to hire him can speak to him now, Zim got brutally honest with him.

One of the announcers on the Pats – Vikings game said something to the effect that any team looking for their next head coach needs to look at John DeFilippo.

    Jax lost to Tennessee

    Detroit lost to Dallas

    Tennessee lost to Jax

Does Miami keep the streak alive vs brutally honest Coach Zim next week?

Did Zim unusually calm following the blocked FG/pick up the flag/nothing to see here?  I wouldn’t have blamed him if they carted him off in a straight jacket.

I saw in the ESPN story that he said he didn’t see the play.  I find that astounding but I guess there are a lot of moving parts on those.

The negative reaction would be enormous if that was Van Noy pushing off his teammate’s backs to vault the line and block a FG in close game, especially if the game was at Gillette. There are articles out there that the refs botched the call, but this play will be forgotten by the time Chiefs-Chargers kick off and not brought up for years as a case of Seattle cheating and receiving favored treatment by the league. If the Patriots were the beneficiary last night, there’d an emergency meeting by the Competition Committee this week to make sure those situations were corrected.

This wasn’t a replay situation, but does officiating HQ in NY get to have any input in situations like this? The official threw a penalty flag, so it’s not like they totally missed the infraction, but can Al Riveron give a Yes or No as to whether it was a penalty? Or was that what Tessitore was referring when he said it was a judgement call, which means there can’t be any outside input on the call?

Neverett’s not coming back next year to the radio and radio executives are goddamn insane if this is true.

“There were industry rumors about possible changes in WEEI’s Red Sox radio booth all season long. One, which multiple sources have said was a genuine consideration, had WEEI dropping the concept of a conventional radio baseball broadcast to make the call of the game sound more like a sports radio talk show.”

Can we end this “he played the game” bullshit? Who the fuck cares? How many ex-jocks are absolutely terrible in the media? Countless.

Len is brain damaged, but we all knew that.

Do the hot takers really have to invade the baseball pbp booth?  Neverett wasn’t anything great but one thing I definitely don’t need is 4 hours of talk show grabassery.  Count, number of outs, and a basic understanding of when a fly ball is catchable is all I need from baseball on the radio.

Yet another benefit of Satellite Radio. You can listen to all the Sox games but you can chose to listen to the other teams Radio-broadcast.
