Anybody find anything about Roger’s bonuses? His base is $4 million with bonuses up to $40 million if he hits various financial targets. Different groups of owners will decide whether he hit those targets. But I can’t find anything about what the financial metrics are or how aggressive they are.
And what happened to family health insurance and a access to a jet for life?
The jet turned out to be semi bs, he just wanted to get the NFL rate but would pay for it. Guessing the same for the insurance.December 7, 2017 at 4:38 pm #114896

That’s pretty standard for retired CEO types, pay for the fuel and/or the crew. And it depends on if the jet is available. Probably not like a fractional NetJets type deal where they have multiple jets anywhere to pick you up, you actually have to be near where it is at.
The Pro Football Talk post mentioning it said the NFL has a subscription with NetJets that he would be able to use at the NFL rate.
Come back, Regular Brian.

Local guys going down the list of NFL draft picks citing PFF like its a bible. See, Elway didn’t do that bad!
Yeah, why worry with pesky W-L records when you can have standard-def gradez to cite?December 7, 2017 at 7:22 pm #114907

Noted Prick Gary Meyers takes dictation from the league office.
The poor misunderstood Commissioner. Color me stunned.
These guys realize Goodell isn’t returning from a leave of absence he took to care for a sick family member or coming out of retirement because his replacement flaked out, right? The damage to the “league’s image” took place under his watch and he contributed to it. Somehow, he’s now the calvalry, arriving just in time to save the day.
The mental gymnastics guys like Myers and PK go through to glorify Goodell are impressive. He was responsible for the league’s growth, but he had nothing to do with any of it’s problems or issues. Roger can fix everything, though, because everything he does is good and none of it is bad.
You’d think the Weinstein situation would be a cautionary tale for the sports media. Not the sexual assault or jizzing in defenseless fauna (If a story like that ever breaks with Goodell, I’d celebrate that day as a holiday going forward), but the looking the other way, covering things up and refusing to suggest that Roger could be part of the problem. When things go south with Goodell, people are going to remember his sycophants and it’s not going to be in a “You picked the Browns to make the playoffs” sort of way that they can laugh off and ignore.December 7, 2017 at 9:23 pm #114911
