Wasn’t the Smoky Hallway Massacre sometime during September (2009 or 2010)?  I’ll grant you it was nowhere near as bloody as The Battle of Trapelo Road ((c) ITT), but we lost a few posters that day.  :-(

Larry has had with Coach Bill. The arrogance. He will never get over the Malcolm Butler benching.

Oh, and Craig and he agree that none of them would be where they are today without Eddie Andelman.

    Fvck Eddie Andelman.

I heard a caller to that show say the winning has covered up a lot with Bill. And when the winning stops he’s going to pay for that behavior.

Delusional. These people crawl amongst us.

This is the guy who follows Tiger Woods shot for shot inside the ropes during tournaments on twitter.  I always though he was a relative of Tiger or something.

Tiger Tracker (a man much, much cooler than the 007 dude pictured to the right) joined Golf Channel in 2012, ironically in the midst of Woods’ longest-ever streak without a major. No matter, this intrepid observer has followed Woods across the globe, from Australia to Abu Dhabi to California, providing readers with invaluable insight into golf’s biggest attraction.

Tracker was born, raised and still resides in Las Vegas, where his connection to Woods first began.

In 1996, Tracker was working as a standard bearer when Woods won his first PGA Tour event, the Las Vegas Invitational. The story goes that after Woods’ final-round 64, a young TT told him: “Hey, nice playing, Tiger. Congrats on the ‘W.’” To which Woods responded, with a wink: “Hell, you might be good luck. You should follow me all the time.”

Ever since, Tiger Tracker resolved to take Woods at his word and follow his career with intense interest … unless Tiger is playing poorly, of course. Because if Woods doesn’t care, neither does Tracker.

Though they obviously have met and recognize each other at events, the two never socialize and maintain a respectful, professional distance. Golf Channel prefers that editorial independence, anyway.

The son of a casino owner, Tracker enrolled at Pepperdine University to study economics, though his close friends have joked for years that he only attended the private school near Malibu to enjoy the, um, scenery, both natural and otherwise. He dropped out after two years, upon discovering that the educational system was too confining for his broad, insatiable educational appetite.

Though he never earned a degree, Tracker considers himself a student of life, having devoted himself to the study of various subjects in his world travels. He’s a world-rated baccarat player and has a black belt in five forms of martial arts, including Jiu-jitsu and Surma stick fighting. He’s also a highly skilled free-solo rock climber whose conquests include the Mercer River Canyon in Yosemite National Park and Kathmandu Valley in Nepal.

Golf? Well, yes, of course Tracker plays golf. Once a scratch, he has since slipped to a 4-handicap, but he always brings his sticks to play the Monday (or Saturday) after Tiger’s events. If you see him at your local 19th hole, order Tracker his favorite adult beverage – a Crown and ginger ale. You just have to figure out who he is first.

    Pros:

12th overall pick in the ‘15 draft

    24 years old

    343 lbs

Only missed 2 games in 3 year career

    Cons:

Only 1.5 sacks in 3 seasons

Playing in Cleveland may sapped his will to live

Responded to Goodell’s draft day hug by lifting him off his feet. Failed to crush the commissioner’s ribs and spine

SXSW going on. That hasn’t been on the Board calendar since Box Score ‘left’.

Also, I will take a lap for overlooking Micks & Pricks as a big date for BSMW.

Jim Murray was saying similar things on his show today. These people are going to stop rooting for the Patriots after their first  losing season, so I wish they’d just stop being “Pats fans” now and start rooting for one of the 31 other teams that have shinier objects than New England.

I know this sounds awful but I can’t wait for BB and TB to go away and the team to go 5-11. The Globe and all of the haters can’t wait for the demise but once it comes these stories become irrelevant.

Belichick being in charge for all of the winning is probably a coincidence to these people. It’s a pretty big exception, but, with the exception of Brady, the rest of the roster has turned over several times in his tenure. It’s not like Carroll in Seattle where the team’s record got worse as the roster from their original championship caliber teams got older and moved on. Or how John Fox seems like a much worse coach when Peyton Manning isn’t his QB.

There’s a couple of angles with the Butler benching that don’t make sense if people would stop to think about them. One is that Belichick’s ego was out of control and he thought he could win without Butler. The guy has a boat named after the number of SB rings he has and a win over the Eagles would have tied him for the most by any franchise, except you’d have the combine 3 Steelers coaches to achieve what Belichick did by himself. If he was ego driven, he would have played Butler, no matter what.

Along those lines, the conventional thinking by Larry, Craig and their listeners is that Belichick knew all about Aaron Hernandez’ off-field behavior and played him anyway. If he really operate that way, why would he bench Butler for something much more inconsequential than what Hernandez was up to?

Someone brought it up last week, but the contradiction to “Belichick doesn’t listen to anyone” is the popular theory that Kraft and Brady made him trade Jimmy G. away. These folks need to pick one hot take line of reasoning and stick with it.

Didn’t see the game, or the hit, but what are the chances that Marchand doesn’t get suspended?  The Bruins and Marchand felt there was no malicious intent, just two players colliding. Did anyone from Chicago challenge him to a fight after the play?

I suppose in The New Sedin-ized NHL, it’s more effective to whine in the media in the hopes a guy gets five, seven or ten games.   :ozzy:

Was at the game, no one from Chicago did anything or said anything when it happened.  Or for the balance of the game.    I am sure they will make an issue of it when they play again today since they are being conditioned to.

Didn’t think much about it live.  Only hesitation I have in replay is people who are looking for a reason they suspend Marchand will question his arm going toward the other guy’s head.

i think more than 5 games, likely 10 since the league seems to go on him.  They called him for interference, which means the refs decided he intended the hit (which is a bs reputation call).  But, it is a penalty with an injury, which is all the league needs.

of course, as of 10:30, no hearing scheduled, so maybe it just passes….

Scratched for today’s game anyway with an upper body injury.  So, not playing in Chicago today: four of the Bruins’ top five players: Bergeron, Marchand, McAvoy and Rask.  Plus Backes, of course.
