The beginning of a time in which our Lebron and their LeBron will be spelled interchangeably  over and over again :pk:  …

I’m still stunned that Stevens didn’t get a single COTY vote from his peers.  :ozzy:

Not to get all Bill Simmons, but what GM would even hesitate to accept an offer of Brad Stevens for their head coach straight up? Anyone?

Presuming I got the math right the last couple days, we’ve hit a milestone. Last number I had was 8251, then +7, +4. Today is 8261, which means a minus one.

The Patriots cut Tony Garcia on Friday. I wasn’t overly concerned when Solder left as a free agent because I believed Garcia would step into the job. I have now moved on to believing Isaiah Wynn will do a great job at left tackle. It sucks for Garcia because it sounds like the blood clot issue that wiped out his rookie year isn’t going away and was serious enough that playing football was not an option for him going forward.

I forgot the C’s game was a 3:30pm. I assumed it was a night game.

Run, don’t walk, to Cafardo’s Sunday column for nuggets like this:

    2. Who sold current Yankees consultant and former Orioles manager Lee Mazzilli his first house in Greenwich, Conn.? None other than Bobby Valentine, then a realtor.

Nick’s paragraph about the batting-out-of order rule was a classic Peter King finger wag.  “Change the rule because I don’t understand it”.   Who cares about a rule that happens at most once a season as long as the 80 or so umpires know it?  Nick Retardo

Have seen people on EEI dot com etc carrying on about what a huge miss it was, how people in the organization didn’t do their due diligence and …man. It’s insanity out there.

Celtics overmatched.  Philly would be up by at least 20.

Holy fuck. I never had time during the season so far to sit and watch a Celtics game. So far I picked a good one to drop in on. Best part is how quickly the announcers went from Cleveland jocksnufflers to lauding the Celtics.

How does LEBRON get called for traveling there…he only took like 1 step. I’ve seen him carry from half court before.

Bill the MD with access to a time machine is killing Bill the GM.

Garcia started every game for Troy in his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. The last time he missed a game due to injury was as a redshirt freshman in 2013. It’s not like this blood clot issue happened in college and they thought it was a non-issue. From the standpoint of putting the best team on the field, it sucks to lose a player before his career even has a chance to get started but it happens. Garcia could have destroyed his knee or injured his neck in training camp last year and we’d get the same result.

Echoing what a.paul posted, I’m sure the people who think this was a “huge miss” by the organization were the same people who hated the pick last year and didn’t know why they selected Garcia. Drafting a guy in the first round this year, who is presumably blood clot free and played at a school that they have heard, isn’t a good enough solution for the hottakers.

The game might have been during visiting hours.
