I hope NO gets good and beats LA in the playoffs. That dumb ass Davis could have had a nice team to work instead he sold his soul for Lebrun.

Someone called him “White Tony Dungy” and I can’t unsee it.

    I don’t have a problem with it.

Hes got question marks, but so does every pick in that range.

Well, we’ve got more wings than a Bills tailgate.

This is very confusing. The Celtics had pick #24 briefly and now they don’t. But do we know who we get in return for that Virginia PG?

Woj says they traded it to the Suns. No word on for what

The Bucks first rounder. That seems odd

So they’re gearing up to sign some scrub to a $20m a year deal?

So they’re gearing up to sign some scrub to a $20m a year deal?

If they renounce the rights to the rest of their free agents they could theoretically sign Kemba Walker. Or Butler. Basically.

So they’d be losing Baynes, Horford, Irving, Morris, Rozier from last year’s rotation in that scenario?

Well 3 of those guys were walking anyway.

Yeah just observing that’s a lot of turnover. Guess they’ll need guys like Williams and one of this year’s guys to step up a bit minutes wise.

Are they better off with one of the younger RFAs?

Personally, my favorite is to resign Rozier. But I get why people hate that idea. He can make plays, but not a terrific distributor. The stat geeks hate him, but I think he’s tough as nails.

I think Danny’s in making the best of a bad situation mode

Despite what the Screaming A Smiths will tell you, this is still a 5ish seed team.

You have Tatum, Brown, Smart, a fully rehabbed Hayward. In this scenario you have Rozier. Williams and Theis, and the new guys.  Maybe the Frenchman

Thats better than a lot of teams can say.

I like the Purdue PG in the 2nd round, he tore Virginia to pieces in the tournament

Not at all dissatisfied with the way it played out. Given the circumstances, I think they played the hand they were dealt well.

Hardly new but the NBA not announcing trades during the draft is really dumb. It makes the draft a strange watch.

After years of the media telling me that the only way to win an NBA title is to have 2-3 superstars. Ainge did what he could to get those 2-3 superstars here. It didn’t work but the only way it was possible was to “hoard assets”. So now they retroactively shit on Danny for hoarding assets like he passed up a bunch of trades for top ten players. Nice work if you can get it.

It’s very difficult to rebuild an NBA in general. Just to get in the position to get players that matter is difficult. Then you add in the super friends, Clutch Sports, player enablement, local market influences and the difficulty is ratcheted up. Danny had a path to AD. It didn’t work so now he has to try to find another way. The middle of the pack is a tough spot to get out of in the NBA.
