Berube’s whining seemed to work.  They aren’t calling anything.

I was going to post Carlo was having another rough game then a short handed goal and a great breakup in front of the goal defensively.  Cancel that post

Geesh. Bruins lose and 2 minutes later I flip over and Jeopardy Guy loses. I was one million percent wrong about the Blues being dead. Shocker.

Game 4 was a carbon copy of game 2. The Blues aren’t going to fold up shop like Carolina. Time to buckle down.

Did you hear about me being on vacation until mid-July and unable to write 4000 words about how upsetting it is that Brady is trademarking “Tom Terrific?”

So they just need to have all their defensemen stay on the ice the whole game?

The Blues are a gritty team. The Sharks had them on the ropes a few times and they fought back.

Teams don’t usually get to the last round of a tournament wholly by accident, so you expect the other team to be able to adjust.

The Blues have really tightened up defensively after allowing 37 or so shots in Game 1.   The Bruins were still were outshot 29-23 in the Game 3 romp.  They aren’t generating a lot of chances so like Game 3 if they get chances they have to bury them.  Outshot 37-23 last night, same as Game 2.  So 3 straight games of 23 shots and giving the other team more chances, twice giving them 14 more.  That formula isn’t going to work.

If the B’s could clear the puck better they’d easily cut down 7 or 8 shots a game. Just about every goal they’ve give up came after some sort of failure to clear the puck when they had a chance.

Doesn’t almost a coach have a Dr on staff who never examines the players but makes diagnosis based on what the hottakers are saying?

This seems right up her alley.

This.  Somewhat frustrating that the Blues have clearly decided they will NOT let the Bruins play the puck up the boards and out of their own zone and have committed to pinching the strong side defenseman right at the line, but the Bruins didn’t adjust their breakout in game 4.    Just kept flipping it to the same area where it was routinely kept in and thrown back at them.

So 98.5’s on air lineup is gritty.

Fauria is so stupid he makes Smerlas and DeAssie look like Mensa scholars. All he adds is dumb comments that my 6 year old wouldn’t say.
