I still remember Jim Rice carrying him off the field, like he was picking up an infant.

The revenue from sports betting in New Jersey last month beat the Vegas single month record which is damn impressive. 85% was via online wagering.

NEW: NJ sports betting revenue figures for July released. Quick need-to-know: * $251.3M handle beats Nevada monthly record from July ’18 * Online bets up to nearly 85% (!) of total handle * @FDSportsbook strong again, roughly 2x @DKSportsbook revenue

It’s amazing how douchey the Chiefs players sound.  Exactly like the Colts in the Peyton/Dungy years.

Wonderful sequence on EEI this morning:

Discussion about what kind of porn the boring broad likes.

    Jimmy Fund Telethon ad.

    Erectile dysfunction ad.

They’ve clearly given up and should just re-run A-Team shows from 2005.

I’m only learning now that Dave Portnoy has a vendetta against Soulcycle because his girlfriend at the time boinked an instructor from there and he somehow blames the company for that. Dude’s a child.

I can’t believe how terrible he was in that RealSports interview.  Soledad friggin’ O’Brien made him look like an idiot.  Of course he claims the piece was edited to make him look bad, not sure how they edited him to look like he was shitting his pants, but sure.

    That’s a shame about Cousins

Thumbs up for not referring to him as “Boogie.”  I actually do feel bad for Cousins.  Torn achilles, torn quad, now potentially torn ACL.  Talk about a shit streak of bad luck.

Yeah, I feel bad for him but anything that makes the Lakers a clusterfuck is good, wish it didn’t happen until just before camp started.

I’m convinced James is going to have a big fall off. Maybe not in skills immediately but he’s going to be a walking groin/quad strain.

For sure on James, besides all the ‘miles’ in Simmons-speak once you start pulling groins at his age and build you tend to keep doing it.

Speaking of Barstool/Portnoy I see Winovich responded to something they said about him or more about Brady telling him on Instagram to study his playbook after quoting Shakespeare

    Chase Winovich

    @Wino

So glad Barstool could get their last shots in before unionizing

The Yankees plan is to score more runs than their garbage pitching allows.  Hasn’t worked for the Red Sox this year in the regular season, likely won’t work in the playoffs for the Yankees.

Wow, I can’t believe brutally honest Zim is one of those ‘big deal if I get fired I’d have another job in 5 minutes’ a-holes.

“People get fired a lot in this business and …. [long pause] … I know a lot of the fans probably don’t think this, but I have a pretty good reputation throughout the league and I don’t worry about it as much,” Zimmer said. “I don’t want to get fired, I want to coach the Vikings for the rest of my life if I can, but — and if I did get fired, I don’t know if I’d coach anymore or not — but I know I’ve had people call me and say, ‘If anything ever happens, I’ll hire you in a minute.’ So, I’m not afraid of not being able to get a job, if that’s what I want to do, and maybe somebody would want me as a head coach again. I don’t know.

When your 7-figure salary is fully guaranteed even in the face of gross incompetence (see Marvin Lewis)  it’s easy for a NFL HC to be a bit cavalier about getting fired.

So brave and tough. What a remarkable statement from an insecure child. And this guy is supposed to inspire and rally the troops. Fuck it, I’ll go somewhere else.

    Wow.

“A bit”? He’s basically saying fuck you I don’t need this shit. Unreal.

My goodness, take the Vikings under.

Well I guess those who thought Ainge should have picked him up aren’t saying much about that now. BTW, all 3 injuries were to the same leg. Cut it off.

Yeah, basically they are going to give the starter a very, very quick hook, even by 2019 standards; then demand their relievers be perfect. Certainly possible but not likely.

I watched an inning or two of the LLWS…the slow pace of play in MLB has apparently filtered down to this level. Ridiculous, especially given a runner can’t leave the base until the ball reaches the plate.
