They should start inserting cliffhangers into America’s Game. Edelman can tell the set up of a joke this episode, and next year he can tell the punchline.

Cakes are cooking for Stan Jonathan today.

How can the Chiefs be in The Fairness Bowl if Bill’s still pissed about the pick play 4 yards down field?

I wonder when NFL Network/NFL Films will schedule this:

EDIT: The player in the story he tells about Belichick extending his interview with one of the Top 100 team has to be Lawrence Taylor.

I either forgot or didn’t realize that Bill slamming the tablet in disgust was over a missed pick play call.

Someone could probably make a pretty good compilation video of him chucking those around by now.

Tonight’s game is going to be like this all night long isn’t it: “Tarik Cohen three yards… Let’s go back to 1957 when…”

Tonight is DO YOUR JOB and AMERICA’S GAME. Tarik and a cloud of dust is tomorrow night.

By the way, Mittens has Nagy on his “hot seat” list for 2019 because of Chicago’s placekicker woes. Really? After he goes 12-4 in 2018 with a rookie QB who may be a franchise QB and leads them into the playoffs?

More like 1985…last year the Bears won anything.

They’re saving 1957 for the Lions.

Also, what’s the over under on how many Lombardi’s sideline rants they show.

As I said earlier, it’s too bad this is being wasted on the Raiders instead of a decent team. Although there’s probably a reason why he went to there instead of a good team.

Fatty must be losing control waiting to give the MOAFW (mother of all finger wags) to anyone who didn’t think Mike Tomlin had control of that situation.

Supposedly Vontaze Burfict held Brown back (Penn jpg) from going at Mayock.  Vontaze Burfict?  Was Richie Incognito unavailable?

Dumping Brown and Bell were smart moves by Pitt. Luckly, they ketp Tomlin on staff so they can’t improve that much

The exact guy who gave Brown an infamous dirty hit.

I look at the thinking that the Steelers will improve without Bell and Brown and think back to some comments about BC basketball from a decade ago. The team’s leading scorer from an NCAA tournament team had graduated and some fans weren’t expecting much of a drop off. Their reasoning was that the returning team wouldn’t defer to the star player and the offense would run much smoother with everyone getting involved. What they overlooked was that, without the star player and no comparable player to replace him, defenses could focus on everyone else. The result was a disappointing season.

Let’s see how good Smith-Schuster is when defenses make limiting him their priority. The Steelers biggest acquisition at WR in the offseason was Ryan Switzer. He’s good, but I don’t think he’ll match Brown’s 1200 yards from 2018. Looking at 2014-2017, the Steelers passed for around 4200-4800 yards per season and ran for around 1700. Last year, they passed for 5000 and ran for 1400. The passing game was able to make up for not having Bell running the ball. If they can’t replicate that production this year, they’ll be in trouble. Heck, they missed the playoffs last year, anyway.

Sounds like the NFL is going to whore out the ‘100’ logo on everything including the balls. Everyone except the Bears has to wear the 100 patch on their unis and a logo on the back of the helmet. Ref unis. It’s going to look like the USFL.

I’ve said it before, but the 100th anniversary logo looks terrible. If it was for some event at the combine, it would be fine. Considering how the NFL has ruined the Super Bowl logos and the AFC and NFC championship trophies, it’s not surprising this logo was underwhelming.

The Twitter world is all paranoid this Brown thing is some ploy to find his way onto the Patriots.

It sounds like Rosenhaus has no idea what the deal is, either.    I am starting to wonder if Brown lost his nerve and keeps sabotaging himself so he doesn’t have to take the field.

How nice of the Packers and Bears to help celebrate the 100th Anniversary Season of the NFL by setting back football by 50 years.

Maybe this Volin guy knows his stuff? How about a little credit for Ben?

Just kidding, he’s an idiot and always will be. The Bears will probably put up 30 points next week and be fine. Still, all the months spent building the team and preparing for the season and you go out and put up 3 points at home against a divisional rival? That’s a bad job outta the Bears.

I hope the Pats-Steelers is the most exciting game of the year, and Goodell/the league can choke on that turd they dropped on us last night
