Season 1 of The Man in the High Castle was good.  Season 2 was fucking fantastic, they took all that world building slowness in season 1 and made an amazing story out of it.  Far more hopeful while still having devastating, heartbreaking scenes.  Beautiful music, great acting, smart writing.  I can’t say enough about it.

On the other end of the spectrum, The OA started out really well.  A solid and intriguing mystery that was hard to ever outguess.  By episode 5 though it turned to… interpretive dance….  It is the stupidest fucking thing I have ever watched, and by the finale we were actively rooting for all of the main protagonists to fucking die every time they started dancing.  Fuck that show, and fuck Brit Marling and that guy that wrote it with her.  Stupid assholes.

Three episodes into this Horace and Pete’s and thinking it’s only a matter of time before Louis CK uses a Joe Bird Toothbrush.

those of you that know the Sopranos better than me, whose funeral was this? Had no idea at the time, but the guy in the back w/the gray scarf is one of my best friends growing up.  He somehow manages to make a living as an actor in RI.

The Soundbreaking docs on PBS are so good. Episode 2 on Beatles/Beach Boys going into Pink Floyd is amazing.

Watched Westworld over the past couple weeks. Interesting enough but not at all a top echelon show.

Bernard definitely killed the chick from Raising Hope. And they didn’t resolve what happened to the Hemsworth brother once he got into the fight with the ghost tribe.

Full Breaking Bad marathon like every day all day this week on AMC. Got sucked into the first two last night.

I think it’s less than 50/50 that Noah is actually getting stalked; think it’s a drug induced psychosis at this point.

Yeah I have no idea. I think it’s kinda hack if he’s having visions. Did he stab himself? I don’t recall if they found the knife in the apartment or not.

I’m a fan but I’m a sucker for Alternative History stuff.  Second season was better than the first imo.

I don’t remember the knife, either.   Plus, considering they have gone forward in time with him a small bit and not backwards, we should have heard if the cops checked Gunther out or not (because Noah mentioned him to them).

How does the OA get relatively panned and Stranger Things gets a nostalgia tug job? Waaay more enjoyable a show.

I’m with you up until Episode 5 and the dancing shit starts, after that it went way downhill for me.  I was hooked after that first episode and the surprising way it went, but after that interpretive dance garbage started I immediately felt like I had wasted my time with it.  And in the end it got only worse.

Well I just finished 4 so I’ll let you know how much I hate it.

I didn’t hate it. I wasn’t overwhelmed with the cleverness of “the movements” but I think as an ending and a mid-season reveal it worked bigly. I think it’s a good show. I don’t have to work at watching it like the slog that is Westworld.

I liked everything else about it, but when they started animal hissing I just couldn’t take it seriously.  Outside of the movements stuff it was solid, but that brought it down for me a lot.
