Carrie Coon getting a lot of accolades for her performance, I thought Justin Theroux was outstanding.  The heart attack/pacemaker story really set the tone for how Kevin seemed more resigned or at peace.  And the scene with Eccleston and Coon was well done.

He’s the best.  The “shittin’ clits, son/Shut your spewing mouth!” scene in the school last year might have been the hardest I’ve ever laughed

Watched a bunch of episodes of the Man in the High Castle on a flight out to Vegas.

So far it’s pretty good, anyone else watch it?

American Gods went out with an extremely strong and very different from the book episode.  Really wonder how many seasons this thing can go with just how changed up it is.  Could be 5 or 6 at this pace.

Also Twin Peaks with its most straight forward and best episode yet as well.  Shame there’s a week off after the next one.  Fargo is about to end too, GoT cant’ get here soon enough.

I’ve seen both seasons.  I thought season 1 took a little while to get going, but season 2 was a home run.  Really liked it.

I wonder if Chuck had deposited Howard’s check yet? Stop payment!

Great acting by Michael McKean throughout that episode (and the series in totality). He really nailed that dementia ridden insufferable prick to a T. I loved the scene where he exited HHM.

I wonder if that is it for HHM in the series (assuming it gets renewed); I don’t see where they would be relevant unless Kim ends up going back there. I had in the back of my mind that they were going to tie Grey Matter with HHM down the road but now I don’t see that happening unless they really love Patrick Fabian.

I’d bet HHM isn’t in every episode, but pops up again. Howard is such a good foil for either Kim or Jimmy not to use again.

A scene where Jimmy and Howard blame each other for Chuck’s death practically writes itself.

Gilligan is an adherent of Chekhov. So Chekhov’s lantern was sure to be revisited.

For the Fargo watchers out there Noah Hawley breaks down the ‘Lady or the Tiger’ ending of Season 3.

I’m going to miss V.M. Varga saying “Stussy”.   Very little else he said I could understand, he needed subtitles.

Perfect way to write Ehrlich out of the series – have Gavin Belson pay 5 years of opium/rent.  Jing Yang driving him to the airport was great

Watched the first episode of the Defiant Ones.  The Dr. Dre stuff has been done to death* but I didn’t know much about Iovine.  I was terrified Simmons was going to get some kind of producer credit but ran through the opening/closing and didn’t see his name, so that was a huge plus.  If it runs on consecutive nights I’ll have another excuse to skip the Mike and the Mad Dog garbage.

*That Facebook post about the Beats deal with Tyrese Gibson was bizarre.  Not like they grew up together but they appear to be close enough friends.

Agreed, some of the footage is pretty neat.  Petty sounds like Lebowski in the commentary.  Dre talking about his moment leaving NWA and the assault on that girl was interesting – had read about it but to see him talk about it was different.  The fade out to the credits last night with Little Ghetto Boy was the tops.

Just picked up HBO again and started in on Silicon Valley.

Russ listing all the types of gay dudes was tremendous.

In my book nailing Stevie Nicks at the height of her fame while having a horrible unibrow is far more impressive than making a billion dollars on headphones.
