I think the bike created the impression she was exiting there by hugging that edge and sort of leaning toward the exit. The car should have signaled ahead, but I understand why the car didn’t think the bike was continuing around the circle. Still should have stopped, etc etc. but this isn’t some atrocity where the bike was completely in the right and the evil car showed up and ran it down.

When I lived in CT we used to live near a reservoir run by the water company and town it had all kinds of paved trails and stuff. This one bike person ran into the bright yellow gate that meant the park was closed. She hit the gate at full speed in daylight.

She took the water company and town to court and won a settlement. Basically almost shut the place down for good. Rumor around town the court said we are awarding you the settlement, but you are an idiot.

I remember that story. I also seem to recall that she was riding the wrong way down the trail. So, riding the wrong way, not paying attention, you hit a big yellow gate and end up getting awarded a couple million dollars.

They really don’t have much of a bullpen at NESN. Eck doesn’t like to travel so your left with Gomes, Lyons, etc.

Yep that is correct. Now she can afford to live in West Hartford.

Kimbrel gave them something to complain about – “How can you be sure that won’t happen in October, caller?”

    The 4 run 8th and 5 run 10th? Those don’t matter.

I feel bad for Remy (no matter what, I can’t not feel for someone dying of cancer), but for NESN viewers as well. Lyons and O’Brien are the deadly nightshade team.

What’s your call on this one? Storm drain in Concord Center did not have bars going in each direction, just one direction. It was laid parallel to the sidewalk, not perpendicular. So I’m riding along and my thin tire went right between the bars. Ass over teakettle. My fault or Concord’s? No I didn’t sue but I was pretty pissed off, especially when a small cut I got on my elbow from the fall got infected and my arm blew up twice its size.

Any way this was Noted Concordian Doris Kearns Goodwin’s fault?

Since the Yankees will always be the Red Sox’ “Team X” I suppose our shoe-peeing scribes will anoint the Astros as “Team Y.”

Look at their starting pitching, caller!  Look how even though half their team is on the DL, they’ve taken four of five on the road from the Dodgers and Giants!

Was the storm drain bright yellow like the fence the woman plowed into and she claimed she couldn’t see it?

Those storm drains a bitch I have had that happened to me.

They are playing .695 ball on the road which is damn impressive however.

Indeed it is. Sox are “only” .667 (38-19).
