Still doesn’t have an editor I see

…this is how incident commander Sean Cavanaugh, on the front line of the fire, began his morning briefing the next day:

“Hey good morning,” Kavanaugh said at the group briefing…

Which is it, Cavanaugh or Kavanaugh?

You just got a Pro Football Talk/NBCSports intern typist fired.  :ozzy:

Kim and Laura made a conscious decision to—they hope—raise a bilingual child. In this world today, particularly living in California, being fluent in Spanish and English is a huge advantage. At that age, kids are able to fill their brains with two languages, or more. This is a huge plus, not a tiny minus.

I’m thrilled he thinks of agua, and when he had sweet-potato fries Saturday night, I said, “Blow on them—caliente!” I hope I was right there.

Good to see his ability to butcher languages goes beyond English. And if you don’t understand something, wouldn’t it be better to shut up instead of teach your best guess to an impressionable kid?

And way to be impressed by getting Starbucks on a flight.

Pete has to be trolling with “Freeway of Love” as one of his top 5 Aretha Franklin songs, that can’t be serious.

You are familiar with King’s discriminating musical tastes, right? 😆

King’s list of favorite Aretha Franklin songs reads like someone whose entire exposure to Franklin came via cab-ride radio.

I blame jforb for this – went to PK’s twitter feed.

It makes me want to stab my eyeballs out.

Did anyone read the stuff about Fatty’s grandkid? Please tell me its as bad as I think it would be. I skipped over it this morning as I was rushing to get through the article. Just reading the intro was so douche-chilly that I had to move on . . . to other douche-chilly things. :pk:

She’s often a bit too much, but Jackie Mac’s article on ESPN about Depression, Anxiety and the NBA is freaking well done.

How many unconscious decisions have Kim and Laura made?

From that King nonsense: In a huge shock is appears Gruden still hasn’t gotten over the Tuck Rule call. Says replay shouldn’t be used for things like that. And for the 4,502nd time no one bothers to ask him about Woodson’s obvious blow to the head that should have also been called on that play and given the Pats 15 yards and a first down.

Also, he’s NOT making $100 million? This is an odd answer.

    • On his reported 10-year, $100-million contract, and a football coach making $100 million: “I’m not making $100 million, just so you know. Well, I never thought Tom Cruise, never thought his movies were any good but he’s making plenty of money. There’s a lot of things that I don’t understand. No disrespect to Tom Cruise. I’m sure he’s a great actor. But you know what? You just go about your life as hard as you can. You try to find something you love and you do the best you can at it. I never got into coaching for the money. I got into coaching because I wanted to be a quarterback coach. What the salary cap has become, what free agency has become—it’s amazing.”

It’s exactly what happened with catches, it looked and felt like a fumble so it should have been a fumble.  I know what  fumble looks like, I don’t need any fandangled technology or actual written rules to tell me otherwise.  Take the conclusion that you want and work backward.

The Gruden era has unmitigated disaster written all over it. There is zero chance this works out. I just don’t see it. At all.

Hey no worries guys, they’re going to revise the instructional video on the hitting with the helmet rules.  More videos always gets it solved

Gruden may end up being the sacrificial lamb for the inevitable shit-storm that the move to Vegas will create. BB didn’t survive the exodus from Cleveland and I doubt Jon will survive the trip to the desert.

I doubt that pick with the real life mace and Darth Vader outfit will be well behaved when the 2-7 Raiders run out the clock in their last season in Oakland.

Ahh . . . I thought you meant on the Vegas end of the transition.  A’s may end up with a new stadium as that one may burn to the ground come December.

Something tells me the Raiders will not have the same type of luck that the Golden Knights had when they stared in Vegas.

The Athletic article about The Jimmy Fund Radiothon states it started in 2002. I swear the station was doing something for the Jimmy Fund in the late 1990’s. Am I wrong?

    Come back, Regular Brian.

Richie Incognito seems like he’s doing fine (PFF number 12 guard in 2017!)
