ParticipantAnyone tried the Lenny’s RIPA ? Fantastic, but they stopped distributing it here. Might be making a road trip to pick up a few cases if it’s available there.

Participantjust got back from a friends thanksgiving that was mostly about beer, with the Marty of my friends hosting. Some highlights:
Long live beerworks IPA (Providence) if you’re down here, worth checking out. West side near Federal Hill
Dogfish Pennsylvania Tuxedo- fucking fantastic, tastes like camping (I no rite good about beer, just try it)
Otter Creek Free Flow IPA- closest thing to Heady I’ve had that wasn’t Heady
Revival Brewery White Electric coffee stout- a bit spiccy for a coffee stout, but delicious

ParticipantThat Troegs Mad Elf not to be trifled with. If it’s to be my last drink of the year, its earned that right.

ParticipantI’ll freely admit I’m a simpleton when it comes to beers. I’m really liking Sam Adams’ Hopscape.

We don’t condone Sam Adams use for any reason.

ParticipantI’ve been getting more into Sierra Nevada. Has anyone tried their spring seasonal “Beer camp”?

ParticipantI’ve been in Ghana and Togo this past week. Been drinking foreign Guinness that is brewed in each country. 7.5% abv. Maybe this is everywhere but it is new to me. Hoo boy.
Also had a special African Guinness on that was 5.5% abv with a hint of citrus.

ParticipantTrillium’s PM Dawn is an absolute beast. Stout with coffee, 9.2% abv and remarkably drinkable.
My wife is heading to Burlington VT in a couple of weeks. Anything I should ask her to get (she already knows to get sip of sunshine and heady topper). She’s going to ask the client she’s visiting to do some shopping for her ahead of time.

ParticipantSierra Nevada recall.

Thankfully, no Celebration was involved.
I noticed that the 12 pack I got in the last week was bottled on November 23. I hope that means it will last a bit.

Participanthow’s Trillium Brewery? Any particulars you’d recommend? Per their website the closest place I can get it is Yankee spirits in Attleboro, worth the drive?

I don’t think they’ve delivered to stores in quite awhile, pretty close to when they started canning.
They’re fantastic, and the brewery is easy in and out, if you’re going on a Saturday there may be a line, but normally it’s nothing. They’re of the same quality of Tree House, right in the new school NE or Vermont IPA vein but the beers aren’t terribly similar. The stouts and Belgian styles are equally as good as their IPAs.
Optimally I’d start with Fort Point Pale Ale and Congress Street, their normal ‘street series’ IPAs all flow from there. But everything is good.
In a related note, I had my first beer in 5 months following surgery forcing a hiatus, sorry Brian it wasn’t lung cancer.

It’s excellent. Congress St and Fort Point are popular. I go to the Canton brewery so I am not sure what they fully distribute, but the store likely has those two. The brewery does a lot of versions of their regular beers, you might find them in bombers at the store.
[EDIT] I liked Mettle in the non-IPA division.
I guess they don’t distribute.
