8th inning; Yankees down 7-1 to what’s left of the Orioles. Not sure that lead is safe.

I think Sonny Gray and Drew Pomeranz are going to duel at the mound during the upcoming Yankee/Red Sox series for the title of least effective starter.

Sadly, both will miss wide with their shots.

Brenden Kennedy, a 32-year-old New York marketing executive, can’t remember the last time he drank a beer. His parents drank Bud Light. When he hit drinking age, he tended to reach for a prosecco.

“When I drink beer, it always feels very heavy, like empty calories, and I don’t find it’s refreshing unless it’s super, super cold,” he says. “The flavor has never really appealed to me, and it doesn’t feel sophisticated.”

Needless to say I’m not a fan of Brenden with two “e’s” Kennedy’s belief system. Your drink needs to feel sophisticated? Fuck you.

Do we blame Trump for that or the liberal left?

Yanks had a shot in the 8th, down 7-1. First 4 guys got on before a K and a DP.

And in the 9th, Buck is being Buck…2 out and 2 on and a 5 run lead, he goes to the pen even though the guy that was in there had only thrown 20 pitches. 3 run HR for the Yanks to cut it to 7-5. One more guy still to get out (edit, which he did).

So Nick was bitching about the Sox playing the depleted O’s….I guess the O’s aren’t depleted against the Yanks too?

I’m sure Bertie has come out with a scathing indictment of the domestic violence going on in Urbtopia, correct? I mean he must have but I can’t find it anywhere. It takes him 3 seconds to post when OSU has corralled another 5 star recruit and this story has been out for a while. I love the full Peyton defense. The “my wife knew/took the PEDs but she never told me” is the new dog ate my homework. Everybody’s using it. Missed opportunity for Brady.

The Brohio St. stuff sounds eerily similar to what happened recently at Colorado, HC knew one of his coaches was beating the shit out of his wife but did some bare minimum I reported it to my boss.  It always comes back to I don’t want to screw the guy’s coaching career.  Guessing Bert’s response is he was just practicing the Oklahoma drill on her.

First Bert’s old college bar gets turned into a Target, now this. Why do bad things happen to good people?

Nothing will be saved. All will be lost. And our new onion-headed sad emoticon is unable to convey the depth of that loss. -10/22/25 (sic) Daily Thread

Admin leave for Urb.  Wonder if Bert gives his alma mater’that place disgusts me’ treatment like he gives Penn St.

Seems like Urbs defense is going to involve throwing his wife and her career under the bus.

This appears to be the party line:

Hats off to OSU for acting immediately. Meanwhile in East Lansing Engler and Co still blaming ESPN for 16 sexual assaults in their football program in last 10yrs but yet their coach got an extension?

So, if I follow his stream correctly, the idea that BB arguably took the “I don’t know, you’d have to ask Brady” route is the worst crime committed against humanity. However, in the author’s esteemed opinion, what Brady should have done was said “I don’t know what’s done behind the scenes or what’s not being done behind the scenes. ” That is the complete equivalent of saying “I don’t know, you’d have to ask (the two idiots that carried the bag of ball around.)”

So, BB deflects and it is horrific, but Brady ought to try that deflection, it’s advisable.

I also didn’t follow this guy’s line of thinking when he said this:

“Had he come out and said ‘You know, I like my balls a certain way. I don’t know what’s done behind the scenes or what’s not being done behind the scenes. But I get the balls, I grip them, I can throw them. That’s all I care about. Was there a violation? Maybe.’ Or you know, he didn’t even have to say that, but this would have resulted in a $10,000 fine and nothing more”

    But also believes:

the Spygate scandal, a very legitimate controversy and situation in my eyes

If this guy could step back, put aside his biases and think for a second, he’d notice that the same people who made spygate a “legitimate controversy” also decided that alleged deflated footballs should be treated as a “capital murder case.” He thinks that, even if it happened, there should have been a $10k fine. Instead, Goodell and the people pulling his strings went for a suspension, a 7 figure fine and a 1st round pick. What’s more likely, that the NFL got one right in 2007 and wrong in 2015? Or that they got them both wrong? The answer should be clear when he realizes that “there there were people and agendas behind the scenes” who wanted Brady and Patriots punished in 2015. “People” were doing the same thing 8 years earlier.

So we have another book to give Felger, Shank, et al more ammo to shit on the Pats.

So maybe BB actually let’s Brady do his own thing and had no idea about the balls.

On one hand we have the megalomaniac B.B. controlling everything but Krafty Bob tells him to get rid of Jimmy and he says “yes sir”. One doesn’t fit with the other.

Speaking of Manish. How long would Manish last here with his unwavering support of the team? They call Reiss a homer.

Well they did suspend him at a time of the year when it will really hurt the program. Wait, he was probably on vacation anyway.

This breaks the week of a playoff game, there’s no quick action.

Went to Albert’s twitter to see people giving him crap about Urbs. Found this gem:

“Having Sean McVay has given them license to bring in these personalities.” –@AlbertBreer on the #Rams offseason moves and their high expectations in 2018:

What exactly has McVay accomplished? One 11-5 season a a playoff loss. I guess he’s a top notch with the handshakes. 8-8 here they come.

The Jay Buhner one is my favorite – had Manny Ramirez misplayed a fly ball in a playoff game it would not have been passed of as a “lapse”

Lets not forget nice guy Urb pretty much knew about Hernandez being a psychopath at Florida (including shooting some guy in the face) and kept most of it hidden. Keyshawn was talking about it this morning mentioning its status quo for a guy like Meyer to sweep everything under the rug. Its the NCAA-way. But 100% believes Meyer knew about this and has to go. (and 100% believes he knew Hernandez was a murderer and said nothing about it). Naturally the brOhio State alum couldn’t resist calling in yelling about “innocent until proven guilty!!!” until the host of the show casually mentioned that Urb isn’t on trial nor going to jail and that really doesn’t apply here.

Urb’s a douche and a liar, but AH didn’t start murdering people until after his time there though, right?

Keyshawn seemed to believe that Hernandez shot a guy in the face while at Florida and Urban knew and kept it hidden. A lot came up during/after the Hernandez trial of what they did or did not know while Aaron was at Florida. The general consensus was that he was a bad guy and definitely trouble but an excellent football player. I dont know what’s true or not but I no doubt believe that even if Hernandez killed a man in Reno just to watch him die that Urban (and most NCAA coaches) would try to find a way to not let that get out especially for someone as physically gifted as Hernandez. Might just be the cynic in me but after seeing all the crap that’s come out over the past 15 years nothing surprises me anymore.

Hernandez matched the suspect description in a shooting of two guys who had earlier got into a fight with Florida football players. The matter wasn’t vigorously pursued at the time. After the semi-professional football player was killed, it came up again.

I read the whole book. An absurd amount of outright mistakes on top of the jumps to conclusion. Just poorly written all around. I don’t think I learned anything new.

Their “Hollywood partners” who optioned the book are the guys behind The Fighter and the Air Bud Franchise.

The Hall of Fame game is on tonight?

What’s the over-under on false starts and PFs from the now-illegal tackles in space in which the player(s) are in a linear body position with their helmets lowered?

This game was unwatchable 20 years ago … can you imagine it tonight?
