    No Board activity until now?

Should I assume everyone’s running the Marathon?

Watching the Masters and of course the announcers are all fawning over Tiger. Here’s a guy who treated the media like shit in his hey day and they were scared to death of crossing him for fear they’d be shut out.

Down Rt 1 you have the equivalent of Tiger where the Coach is considered the best ever and the media tries as hard as they can to cut him down at ever corner.

Jeezus! Mike Lynch on CVB late night sports last night treated the Tiger “redemption” story with the same over-wordy breathless awestruck reporting that I haven’t seen since Clark Booth rhapsodized over the Pope’s visit.

So a winning game of golf “redeems” Tiger from wife-cheating, waitress-chasing, probable substance abuse issues, et cetera et cetera.

This whole “redemption” and “had his children there” and “heroic/historic comeback” from the ravages of middle age storyline says more about the reporters than anyone.

Do the Bruins need some muscle for the lineup in Toronto tonight? Maybe they should sign Stephanie Lavoie:

Vermont Woman Arrested After Attacking Cops During Her TD Garden Ejection Saturday Night

Kicking, biting, spitting — she even took a dive into a foetal position, a la Claude Lemieux.  She’s got it all!

What’s impressive is that they bounced her out of the Garden at 8:50, which was around the end of the first period because of the 8:00 start. She was obviously ready to go by puck drop!

Just a guess that everyone’s over at America’s Most Beloved Ballpark for day baseball Danny!

Sounds like Makar might see some ice time tonight for the Avalanche.

You know who’s not a sports fan? Someone who pays attention to a team, or especially a sport, only when a prominent person is doing something exceptional/notable.  The venn diagram of people who didn’t watch the Final 4 because of no Duke/Carolina but did watch the masters yesterday only because of tiger is a circle, clad in a cardigan, pleated jeans, and gleaming new balance

I think he played first or third in the Eovaldi WS game.

When we went to Spring Training we saw Betts taking serious reps at third.

I’m too busy celebrating how I breezed through the lack of traffic to the office.

He played first, moved Leon behind the plate I think.  Forgot how many times they moved outfielders around in that game for each situation.

Borquie’s getting more crap for grabbing a couple of things at Stop and Shop this morning than he ever did for playing bumper cars on the way home from “the club” one night.

There was great buzz in the arena and a sprinkling of good signage when the Bruins came out for warmups before Saturday’s Game 2 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. In a town that’s gone soft on its teams — rarely is heard a disouraging word about the sacred Pats, the smug Sox, or the ever-glass-half-full Green Team — Bruins fans have retained their edge, dignity, and demands.” Shank Shaughnessy, Hockey Guy

This was alluded to in the last episode of the show. Did something else pop up today?

Love how in the AFCCG and the Soupey, even though essentially he was dead wrong, on another level the way the games played out conspired to screw him. Pats hold off the Chiefs in regulation or give up a TD, he wins. Pats convert that first down vs the Rams that they were short by inches (or give up what would have been a meaningless TD in the last 20 seconds), he wins.

Same issue as mentioned in the last episode. He has his trial sentence in May.

People wailing over the Notre Dame Cathedral fire are vigorously demanding that their beers be held.  I think a solid half of them think the hunchback is trapped inside.

I’ve been working on a Jimmy Clausen joke but haven’t quite gotten there.

NHL is taking its sweet ass time on announcing any Kadri suspension.  Puck drops in 3.5 hours.

I actually thought of this on the ride in and figured I just missed it and meant to look it up. I’ve seen some calling for 8-10 games which seems a bit harsh.

Just saw this. Maybe he does get the 8-10 games.

Fun Fact: Nazem Kadri will be the first NHL player to be suspended a 5th time specifically for hits to the head in roughly a decade, probably longer. He’s managed that in an impressive 7 full seasons. Not even Rinaldo (4x), Wilson (2x), Gudas (1x), Marchand (2x) come close.

I’m assuming Toronto resigned itself that he’s out tonight for sure so doesn’t “really” matter in that sense but yes seems odd to take so long. Kucherov announcement was much quicker.
