Some film nerds were really jazzed about Split despite being wary due to M Night’s recent output.

Makes me want even more to have the last Before Sunrise follow up have like a vampire movie break out in the middle of it. It’d be the longest con in film history.

Just caught the “Ready Player One” Trailer. No D&D, Pac-man or Blade Runner references to be seen.  Looks like they are giving the the World War Z treatment and taking the name and then changing everything that made it unique and special. :ozzy:

We definitely reached Peak Chico 😆

 I’ve turned into every stereotype I’ve ever made fun of.  Need to know any thing about any episode of Paw Patrol, however esoteric?

I am going to Star Wars thursday though.  Not dead yet

Watched this on a whim based on your recommendation.  Wow.  Loved it.

Saw the disaster artist last night, some unnecessary changes from the book to try and add in unneeded drama but as a whole it was great.

But you have to see The Room first. Going to see that in a theater on the 10th.

    Screener time:

    The Florida Project is great.

    Lady Bird: ehhh.

Yeah, you definitely need the context of that awful piece of garbage first.  With you on Lady Bird, thought it was fine but nothing special.  Hoping to see the Florida Project soon, and I, Tonya.  Too busy re-watching Blade Runner 2049 (at the Mrs’ request, she likes it as much as I do).

Dunkirk was the best movie of the year.

Saw it live with Rifftrax a few years ago with the Mrs.  Theater was packed, footballs were tossed around, and spoons aimed at the screen often.  Was amazing then, especially with the guys making fun of it.  Wanted to go see it but a local place was playing Lady Bird and the Mrs. won out…  It was, ok I guess?  Nothing special, just pretty funny and not much actually happens.

Better than Lady Bird. But still, ehh. And I usually love Sam Rockwell.

I liked it quite a bit but I have zero interest in ever seeing it again.  Not like Dunkirk, Blade Runner 2049, or Wind River.  Just caught Thor: Ragnarok again with the family and that one holds up to multiple viewings, so frigging funny.

I liked Molly’s Game. But it’s very Sorkinish, so you have to be into that.

What made it “ehh” for you? I really enjoyed it. McDormand and Harrelson were great in it.

I enjoyed while I was watching it, but upon reflection, there’s plot stuff that makes no sense. Describing it would spoil it.

I ride with Kevin on the billboard movie.  John Hawkes rules though.  He and the actress who played his girlfriend should have gotten the awards.

Hope it’s better than the book.  Interesting story but holy shit can that lady not write.

I wanted to sterilize the entire state 5 minutes into The Florida Project.  By the end I just wanted to nuke it then off myself.

Who knew Dafoe could play such a non-creep?
