Wouldn’t it have been easier for Vader to Forcegrab the floppy disk rather than toss fifteen helmet guys around a hallway?

I’ve thought about that roughly 1,000 times since I saw the movie. How far away can he do the hand forcy shit?

At what point did the rebel stick the disk through the crack in the door? It was pretty dark in the hallway, maybe Vader didn’t see the disk or thought it had already been passed through?

Very possible he doesn’t know anyone in that hallway has it. Then again, he can kinda read minds. Another thing he can do: freeze people in their tracks. Both would have helped retrieve the disc. Neither is as fun as hacking motherfuckers to pieces, though. 😆

    Cerrano took the disc.

Just saw it. I understand your parsecs may vary, but I liked it better than TFA.

Nothing will be saved. All will be lost. And our new onion-headed sad emoticon is unable to convey the depth of that loss. -10/22/25 (sic) Daily Thread

    Watching the blu-ray

the Imwe kills a bunch of stormtroopers scene – shows stormtrooper armor can protect against their own weapons at least some of the time, also Imwe may be wearing a stormtrooper belt as a bandolier, possible nod to 4

watched again, pretty sure the only stormtrooper on stormtrooper kills are to the neck, on the bodysuit and not armor

When they’re hit in the helmet visor it’s accompanied by smashing glass side effect.

It’s an incredibly tidy movie, not only avoids plot holes but goes out of it’s way to close holes opened in a 40 year old movie. This is masterful

Jeebus, that Sol’s hideout scene echoes the emperor’s throne room on DS2 in 6 so well, right to the explosion. So good, so f’n good. The window, the eclipse, DAMN

ed – the ‘more machine than man’ mirroring for Sol was noted long ago, but it’s so great, Sol’s her adoptive father not birth this time, he wants to stay behind this time, the redemption line, it echoes 6 so well, instead it’s her substitute father sacrificing himself instead of his birth father sacrificing himself, wanting to die because his mission has ended, it’s a near perfect mirror image to 4 or really 4-6

    just fantastic

I’ve been watching the Star Wars Rebels cartoons with my kid (truth be told, I have to talk him into it sometimes over Paw Patrol  ) and the two-part season finale they just did is legitimately better than any of Lucas’ prequels.

Also Darth Maul survives Phantom Menace (gets robotic legs) and turns out to be a great character with a long storyline where he searches the universe for Obi-Wan so he can get revenge while also being tossed aside by the Emperor.

So much better than the mute nothingburger he was in TPM.

Yeah, those prequel cartoons have been fantastic. Watched them with the kids as well and was shocked at how well written they were.
